| Fireboat 6R is the David Campbell. It
was built in 1927, and is 87'6" long. It was repowered
in the 1970's, and currently has two 12 cylinder Cummins
Diesel propulsion engines and two Cummins Diesel dedicated
pumping engines. It's four fire pumps have a total
output of 14,000 GPM. It's main turret alone can flow
approximately 7500 GPM.
Fireboat 6 is the George Williams. It was built
in 1984, and is 40' long. It is powered by two Detroit
Diesel engines, which also drive two 1250 GPM pumps.
Station 6 also houses PFBI-6, a rigid hulled inflatable
joint owned by the FBI & PF&R. It is used
as an auxiliary vessel to support marine operations. |
